3-Month Elopement Planning Timeline
Month 1: Vision + Bookings
Focus: Set the vision, finalize the location, and book the key vendors
Week 1: Define Your Elopement Vision
Decide what kind of elopement you want
Choose your ideal date(s)
Set a rough budget
Choose if you’re having guests (and how many)
Week 2: Pick a Location + Book Key Vendors
Select your destination/location (if you’re not sure of the specific locations you need, your vendors, i.e. me, can help!)

Book photographer/videographer
Reserve venue or permit if needed (for national parks, etc.)-I can help with this!
Book your officiant – I have great recommendations.
Week 3: Lodging + Travel
Book your accommodation (e.g., Airbnb, hotel, cabin)
Look into travel logistics: flights, car rentals, passports (if applicable)
Research backup indoor options (if outdoors) – once again, I can have you covered…literally .
Week 4: Style + Extras
Shop for outfits (wedding dress, suit, hiking gear, etc.)
Order rings
Choose theme/style (boho, elegant, casual, etc.)
Book other vendors (hair/makeup, florist, baker, etc.)
Month 2: Details + Paperwork
Focus: Design your experience, gather documents, and communicate with vendors
Week 5: Plan the Day-of Timeline
Draft your elopement day schedule (if you’ve booked me, I’ll work with you on a personal timeline).
Add any personal elements (letters, music, first dance, champagne, etc.)
Week 6: Legal & Travel Documents
Get your marriage license info (timeline + application steps)
Gather IDs, any required paperwork
Check passport status (if applicable)
Week 7: Guest Communication (if inviting any)
Finalize guest list
Send travel info + accommodations to guests
Confirm ceremony location logistics with them
Week 8: Order Details
Finalize attire + accessories
Purchase vow books, elopement details (blankets, flasks, signage)
Month 3: Final Prep
Focus: Final confirmations, packing, and emotional prep
Week 9: Final Confirmations
Confirm all bookings (photographer, vendors, officiant, etc.)
Share final timeline with vendors and any guests
Week 10: Vows + Ceremony Details
Write your vows
Plan or confirm ceremony script
Finalize transportation details
Week 11: Pack + Prep
Pack clothes, rings, license, travel documents (I’ve got checklists for this).
Confirm beauty appointments if needed
Print copies of your timeline & contact list
Week 12: Elopement Week!
Get your marriage license (based on local timing rules)
Travel to your location
