When you think of your elopement day, often you’re thinking about the dress, the location of the ceremony, and the tear-filled vows you’ll recite. But what about the food?
Eating on your wedding day is one of the best parts of a wedding day (or weekend). I’m a big believer in including multiple food and drink spots throughout the day (a coffee date pre-getting ready, a packed lunch picnic from an awesome bodega to enjoy during your elopement adventure, a fantastic restaurant for dinner, a hip cocktail bar to cheers to, and of course you can’t skip dessert!).
So here are a few of my favorite restaurants in Greenville to make your elopement experience a true knockout.
Juniper shines as a destination rooftop bar. Its dramatic visuals, inventive cocktails, and scenic atmosphere draw crowds. Many locals suggest stopping by for a drink and appetizer, then heading elsewhere for dinner. If you’re celebrating, entertaining guests, or craving views, it delivers.
This restaurant is a unique Alice in Wonderland themed space with moss-covered walls and cocktails served in teacups. There is a small, very cool library in the back, but it does require a reservation due to capacity constraints.
Ink N Ivy in downtown Greenville is a lively, multi-level American‐style restaurant and bar known for its eclectic, tattoo‑inspired décor and motto: “Eat. Drink. Be Social.”
A modern Italian restaurant with a view of Falls Park, this restaurant is led by renowned chef, Michael Kramer, who prides himself on using only fresh, local produce to make his classic inspired cuisine with a modern twist.
Another Italian restaurant that showcases the cozy, warmth of the Italian heritage it embodies, both in the food they serve and the atmosphere.
While not in Greenville, but 30 minutes up the mountain in Travelers Rest, this restaurant feels like you’re dining in an Italian villa. The unique aesthetic and the sweeping mountain view make this the perfect spot for your elopement dinner.
This restaurant, located in the Grand Bohemian Hotel, offers beautiful views of Reedy Falls in an upscale rustic setting. They boast fresh seasonal fare in a modern lodge style.
This underground restaurant feels like you’ve walked into a Bavarian tavern. It’s the perfect broody, unassuming atmosphere that offers good beer and hearty meals.
Another Travelers Rest staple, which makes it the perfect location for you mountain elopers staying at a cozy AirBnB in the mountains! Topsoil is a true farm-to-table experience nestled in the heart of Travelers Rest.
“Classic dishes with reimagined global flavors” this restaurant is in the heart of downtown Greenville and boasts of a modern atmosphere that you’re sure to love.
Bonus: Carmellas for the best desserts in town.
Let me know if you try any of these places!
